Father & Son, Mother & Daughter, Mother & Son, Father & Daughter: Family

Hmmmmmm.............Very Interesting Topic Mr. McCarthy!

So,  I kinda don't know what direction to go in for this topic so I'm going to just go with the flow. I have thought about this topic quite a bit and I think that it's interesting how the daughters typically tend to connect with the fathers more than the mothers. I know with my family I do stick to my dad more, a fathers love and a mothers love are so different yet so similiar. My mother is loud & irritating and my dad is soft and understanding.
With my brother, he tends to stick to our mom more than our dad, even at age thirty.
I love my dad. He is just so dad like. If he had a dime he would give you all of it, not saying that my mom would'nt go the same. I'm just saying that she would have to yell about it. My dad, who is actually my stepdad is the best person that I know. He came into my life and took me as his own and I've never felt more loved. I'm his child, he does'nt care what anyone says. My biological dad and him also have a really greta relationship whish is awkward.
My mom is, my mom. She's loud and crazy and bipolar but I love her. She is so loud. Well my brother is my brother and that's the end of my blog.

Our Meaning! No skip that, My Meaning :)

I was suppose to post a blog about our meaning, and I took that as the meaning of people. It has taken me all week to think of a nice and profound meaning for people but sadly I found nothing. So instead, I have chosen to tell you what I think my meaning is.

So...my meaning. Yes, I do think my meaning is really great and significant.  Before this blog continues, let me tell you this, I don't like people. I love some people, but people as a whole I dislike and that's why I couldn't think of a solid meaning. But, that's another blog for another day. Anywhooo, back to me, I consider myself to be very rare, this world we live in is indeed cruel and the people are careless. That doesn't describe me at all, I think that I'm here to balance things out. No I'm not a saint, and yes I make mistakes but I am very wise, my mother describes me as "A old lady inside a teenager's body". I am here to remind people that life is short, we don't have time to care about nonsensical things and also to be your own person. I believe that one of the  greatest gifts that God has bestowed upon is is our own identity.

Alot of people in life don't get that. My meaning is to make a difference somewhere and sometime in my lifetime and I know that for a fact. Give me twenty years & my name will be known for something courageous, rare, and amazing.

God in 2010

God in 2010 has changed drastically. He is no longer the almighty ruler, he has become a giver and not a receiver. People now believe that they control their life, their fate, and themselves. People don't believe that he deserves praise and that they are too busy to take the time to thank him.

Churches have become places to raise money and brag rather than the place to praise and be educated. It's sad that I haven't met a pastor without a Beamer, Benz, or Bentley and that the people in church are the most corrupted people. In our world when diasters strike we say that God is punishing us & when things are going wrong in our lives we don't even acknowledge God. The world has turned God into a fad, sometimes it's in and sometimes it's out . I believe that Lord Jesus is my savior and without him I would be nothing. Some people would look at me and say that I'm crazy and others would say they believe but in actuality they do only when in need. It's ashame that more than half of us don't pray and when the other half prays we begin and end with what we need instead of thanking him. God is not brand name clothes, a new car, or money. He isn't an earthquake, a tornado, or a recession, he is God and without him we would be nothing.

God in 2010 is the God that has been there for us no matter what, he loves all fools and babies.

Candide's Punishments, do they fit the crime?

No, I do not think that Candide's crimes fit the punishment. I think that Candide was overly punished and that he actually unintentionally took the blame for someone else. When he was first punished for kissing Cunegonde, Pangloss should have been punished because he was the one who Cunegonde saw "fondling" in the bushes with the maid. From then on, all of Candide's punishments should'nt have happenend. Pangloss and the people who punished him should've been the ones who took the blame. When they saw that Candide had such silly nonsensible ideas and spoke of the great philosopher Pangloss, the Bulgars should have put the blame on Pangloss and helped Candide instead of punishing him. I think that they deserve to get punished for that.
I also find it ironic at how exactly when Candide says something out of the ordinary to their lifestyle he immediately gets punished. But, when he kills two people, he can escape and avoid punishment. This was all after he started to realize that Pangloss's philosophy about the world wasn't all that accurate. This reminds me of the world today, and the question, why do bad things happen to good people? We are all like Candide in different ways, all of our thoughts and ideas of the world are biased and guided towards a certain way. These thoughts and ideas( the harmless ones) get us into trouble, when the people who aren't so harmless get away with things.
Candide is now coming into the real world and no I still stand and say that his punishments do not fit the crime. Voltaire's book is more than a book about silly, nincompoop, love and adventure story. This really goes with my theory of how nothing is completely new, it's just a new version of the same happenings over and over again.
